The Best Things In Life

The Best Things In Life is a brand new weekly series where I share my favorite free thing of the week and you can share in yours too. I talk about enjoying life and savoring those moments a lot here at Debt Free by Thirty. It may sound a little corny but I am looking forward to taking the time and reflecting on my favorite "free" moments.

This was a great time to start this series because of our beautiful and free weather.

The one thing I enjoyed most this week was our family bike ride through the town. We live in a little valley surrounded by hills. During this time of year the hills are changing to beautiful warm colors. It was a wonderful ride through fall.

I started writing this post at the beginning of the week and while I loved our fun bike ride and though it might be one of the last ones since winter is coming, we had an even better free moment this week. I am keeping the bike ride as a close runner-up. Plus, it's fall and I'm a blogger I think the rules say I must talk about how pretty leaves are.

Later in the week, The Sailor and I stayed up until the wee hours of the morning playing our new favorite game "What Band Is This?" on his iPod Touch. It's a made up game where we shuffle through his iPod. The name of the game is pretty self explanatory and you get extra points for naming the song too.

Best part of this game was when a song triggered a memory to come bubbling up to the surface. It was just a really nice way to reflect on the past. I also kicked the pants off The Sailor in this game. I have one of those brains that remembers Spandau Ballet but not my dentist appointment. I also may have said, "Suck it!" and "In your face!" a lot. I'm a tad competitive. But a good time was had by all.

We were a bit groggy the next day but it was well worth it.

Now it's your turn to participate in The Best Things In Life.

You can either make a blog post or you can reflect in the comments. Remember to link back to Debt Free by Thirty if you make a post so I and everyone else can take a look at your stories.
