Goals, Goals and More Goals

Where to begin.

Ever since we paid off our debt last month my head has been spinning on all the things we should be saving up for now that the debt is gone. I want to do so many things but I don't know where to start.

I have the basics started. The emergency fund is growing. 529 accounts are set up and waiting for their first withdrawal. Still looking into our Roth IRA setup, but it will be completed soon.

But what about the fun stuff?
Isn't this part of the reason to get out of debt? To have some fun. Here are some of the things we are planning.

A Weekend Skiing Getaway $500 (In a couple months)
Come December, the Sailor and I are going on a little ski trip. Just the two of us. So excited. Since, this is also part business trip we will have a free hotel stay. This will definitely help our budget. I do have to buy a party dress for the fancy shmancy dinner though. This will be tricky to stay in the budget, but I am always up for a challenge.

I am so looking forward to this. Just the two of us!

The Wizarding World of Harry Potter and Legoland $4000 (In a year)
A true nerdy family's dream vacation. We are planning on going next year in December. This gives us enough time to save and plan. This has been a long time coming. We have only been talking about it forever.

A Loonngg Trip Around Europe or A Motorcycle Trip Around The US (7-8 years)
This is definitely a bit of a bucket list dream for us. We may do one or both or we might even change our minds all together and do something completely different, but we have to start somewhere with the savings goals, right? And learn how to drive a motorcycle (for me, Sailor already knows).

Thanks to another sub-account at ING we have got the ball rolling on this too.

Skiing, Orlando, Europe(?) Here we come!
